The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake will
host its annual Golf Tournament and Luncheon, Sunday
September 27th at the Bear Mountain
Golf Course. The tournament will feature an 8:00 A.M.
shotgun start and will include 18 holes.
The format is a 4 person scramble.
Single players are welcome and all skills levels are also welcome to
participate in this fun format. Awards
will be presented for Low Net and Low Gross Team Scores, Closest to the pin,
and Long Drive.
The cost is $100 per player and includes 18
holes, a cart, and a lunch at the conclusion of the tournament. At the luncheon there will be a host of
drawings and raffles for donated prizes.

The Rotary’s
Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser is an annual event which
raises funds for the club’s many Big Bear Valley projects and
scholarships. The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake also
sponsors the Valley’s renowned Fireworks Extravaganza, the Santa Visits
program, the Dr. Bob Davies Dental Screening project, the Holiday Luncheon for
Seniors, high school foreign exchange students, school literacy programs, Big
Bear Idol Music and Vocal Competition, 4-Way Speech Contest, the Eagle of
Excellence Awards, $10,000 in annual scholarships for graduating senior high
school students, and many other activities which benefit the residents of the
Big Bear Valley.
The Golf Tournament is one of the principal
fundraisers for the club and annually attracts dozens of Rotarians and many
others in the community who like to play golf.
It should be great weather on the course the day of the tournament and
lots of fun at the 19th hole celebration and luncheon. For information,

Rotary is the largest international service
organization, and the local club is some 75 members strong, including both men
and women of all ages. The motto of the
organization is Service above self! The various projects which the club
annually sponsors in the community are evidence of its commitment to service.
In addition, Rotary International sponsors, through it thousands Major Sponsorships ($300 minimum) are

sponsorships ($100) and other donation opportunities are also available.

through it thousands of local clubs around the world, many foreign charitable
projects, including the extremely successful End Polio Now program, which is
designed to eradicate polio worldwide.
The club’s activities could not be possible without the generous support
of its members and the fundraising activities it conducts.
