EDITOR’s NOTE: Caltrans
engineers and maintenance crews became aware of
the large boulder slope area, very near the roadside,
that was obviously
damaged during the February Valentines Day Snow Storm including
the following
rain and snow storms, and took charge to repair the area,
immediately.
Winter’s, storms, February & March 2019 caused slope
damage to many areas along
State Route 18, such as the boulders on the southside of
the Big Bear Lake Bridge.
