State 38 COLLISION
Sunday July 3, 2016, California Highway
Patrol Arrowhead Area (Running Springs) officers responded to the scene of a
traffic collision on State Route - 38, west of Minnesula Road.
Eric Rhydale Caston, a 35 year-old resident of Big
Bear City, California, was driving a White, Ford, F-250, west on State Route-38.
For an unknown reason, Castson allowed his
vehicle to travel off the road and down an embankment, south of SR-38. Caston was not wearing his seatbelt and was
ejected from his vehicle. As a result,
Caston sustained fatal injuries. Caston
was pronounced deceased at the scene by San Bernardino County Fire
personnel. Officer Michael Griffin, ID
20717, is handling the investigation.
