MOVE-Up and
MOVE-On
Tuesday June 2, 2015, the Big Bear Fire Authority Board held
a regular scheduled meeting in Hofert Hall at the City of Big Bear Lake. The
meeting included a special recognition ceremony. Big Bear Fire Chief Jeff Willis acknowledged several
members of the Big Bear Fire Department Staff.
To begin with, Fire Chief Willis presented David Yegge, Fire
Fuels Program Supervisor and ISA Certified Arborist, with his 10-Year
recognition award. The Chief quoted a list
of accomplishments and thanked David for his tenacity and hard work. Yegge is
responsible for the grants that have provided free curbside chipping, defensible
space measures, and shake-shingle roof replacement. “The Big Bear Valley is a
safer and Fire-wise Community, thanks to David Yegge,” Chief Willis stated.
