Big Bear Solar Observatory is a solar observatory located on the north side of
Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains of southwestern San Bernardino
County, California, approximately 120 kilometers east of downtown Los Angeles. The telescopes and instruments at the observatory are

The Sugarloaf Property
Owners Association will be having their monthly meeting on Saturday, October
22nd at 10:00 AM at the Sugarloaf Fire Station located at the corner of Baldwin
and Maple Lanes.
This month's guest
speaker will be John Varsik, director of the Big Bear Solar Observatory. John will give us an update on things going
on at the observatory along with other interesting facts about the observatory
in general.
There will be a Q & A
session following John's presentation. Refreshments will be served. All valley residents are
welcome to attend this free public meeting.
