Bridge Inspections__

 SR-138 and Interstate 15 Overcrossing  

San Bernardino County ___  Caltrans District 8 is advising motorists that short-term rolling closures will be in effect on Interstate 15 (I-15) and State Route 138 (SR-138) in the Cajon Pass to conduct bridge inspections on the SR-138 overcrossing.

The daytime 20-minute rolling closures will occur on Wednesday October 28^th, on the northbound I-15 beginning at approximately 9:00 A.M. from Devore. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will initiate the first of two rolling closures.

On the southbound I-15 at approximately 11:00 A.M.at Oak Hill Road, CHP will initiate the second rolling closure. A rolling closure/traffic break in this case is a traffic-break that lasts 20 minutes, after which, traffic is released. Traffic will be moving slowly and will most likely not stop completely.

This rolling closure is necessary to ensure the safety of those inspecting the bridge. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and try to avoid the closure period.

Follow traffic conditions and add extra time to your trip on I-15 in the Cajon Pass during the inspections.
