The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues the work on Phase II at the Joint Port of Entry on Interstate 15 (I-15) near the California/Nevada state line.

The $43 million project will construct a new Agriculture Inspection Station (AIS) facility and remove the existing Agricultural Station in Yermo, California.  The project was awarded to Granite Construction Co. and is estimated to be complete in late 2018 (weather permitting).

Crews demolished the existing AIS facility on southbound Interstate 15 (I-15) near Yermo, and reconstructed the roadway on both northbound and southbound I-15. The Phase II began June 25, 2018 and will continue until completion by September 30, 2018.

Lane closures will occur from 9:00 P.M. until 6:00 A.M. northbound and 9:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M. southbound.  One lane will remain open.  Motorists should expect delays due to the heavy volume of traffic leaving Las Vegas, Nevada.
