Assemblyman Obernolte About

 Frontier-Verizon Merger

Sacramento, California ____ Assemblyman Jay Obernolte (R-Hesperia) Wednesday May 11th, released the following statement about the merger between Frontier Communications and Verizon.

“I am very concerned that the recent merger between Frontier Communications and Verizon has negatively affected my constituents.  It is particularly disturbing to me that the public safety of our residents has been threatened by the faulty landline telephone service they have experienced since the merger. I have been in contact with officials at Frontier Communications and, as a member of the Assembly Committee on Utilities and Commerce, I will be questioning Frontier executives at the special hearing the committee.

“I am interested in hearing from my constituents about difficulties they are having with their Frontier service.  Please call my District office at (760) 244-5277 or email me at Assemblymember.Obernolte@assembly.ca.gov if you are experiencing problems and we will open a file for you.

+This will allow me to hold Frontier accountable at the hearing next week and to advocate for you with Frontier’s legislative representatives.  It is deplorable that the people I represent are suffering as a result of this corporate merger and I will make it clear to Frontier that this situation is not acceptable to either me or my constituents.”

Assemblyman Jay Obernolte represents the 33rd Assembly District, which includes the San Bernardino County communities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Baker, Barstow, Big Bear City, Big Bear Lake, Big River, Crestline, Fort Irwin, Hesperia, Johnson Valley, Lake Arrowhead, Lenwood, Lucerne Valley, Needles, Oak Hills, Phelan, Running Springs, Silver Lakes, Trona, Twentynine Palms Base, Twin Peaks and Victorville.
