"The strength and resiliency of our people is an inspiration to us all," said Board of Supervisors Chairman James Ramos. Implementing the Countywide Vision, increasing jobs and economic value, and ensuring the development of a well-planned, balanced, and sustainable county were also among the goals and objectives established by the board.

Annual goals and objectives were established to create a clear line of authority between the public, as represented by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, and the activities carried out by San Bernardino County Government. All County Government activities and spending must be directly tied toward achieving the Board's Goals & Objectives.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meet annually with the Chief Executive Officer to evaluate his performance in carrying out the goals and objectives and to draft goals and objectives for the year ahead.
