Driver Suspect of D.U.I.

& Vehicular Manslaughter

Kills Deputy Sunday

Shortly after midnight, units from the Chino Police Department responded to a report of a traffic collision.

When they arrived, they discovered Nicholas’ vehicle had been struck by another vehicle. Unfortunately, Nicholas did not survive the collision. The collision is under investigation and the other driver was arrested for suspicion of D.U.I. and vehicular manslaughter.

Nicholas joined the department on July 8, 2017 and after graduating from the academy, he was assigned to the West Valley Detention. Nicholas left a positive impression on his friends and co-workers and will be deeply missed.

Nicholas is survived by his father Bill, mother Crystal, and brother Jonathan.

Rest easy brother.
