Sunday September 18th, before
noon, Big Bear City resident, Eric James Venner was travelling on North Shore
Drive (State Route-38), east of Division Drive, when his 1995 Dakota Dodge collided
with a tree. Consequently, when the
pick-up truck ran off the road, it rolled over causing injuries to the driver.
50 year old Venner suffered a dislocated
hip, fractured pelvis, lacerations to his chin and lower right leg, as a result
of this traffic collision. Venner was transported from the scene by San
Bernardino County Fire to the Bear Valley Community Hospital for treatment of
his injuries.
It was determined that alcohol was a
factor, as well as the unsafe speed the Dodge was traveling. .
