To assist with the increased traffic during peak times on the 4th of July, from 9:00 P.M. to 12:00 P.M./Midnight, the City of Big Bear Lake in conjunction with the Big Bear Sheriff Department, Big Bear Fire Department, California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) have devised a plan to better accommodate the flow of traffic. This new plan will enhance visitor and resident experience for the 4oth annual Fireworks Spectacular over Big Bear Lake.

Motorists will be directed to make only right-hand turns onto Big Bear Boulevard (State Route-18) from Georgia Street to Temple, they will be further aided by Big Bear Sheriff Deputies and CHP Officers controlling traffic at all major intersections in the city of Big Bear Lake.

Residents and visitors of Big Bear City are advised to park on the south-side of the Big Bear Boulevard, while residents of the North Shore area are advised to park on the north-side of the Big Bear Boulevard. Following the Fireworks display on the Lake, Marina Resort exits will be open with the right turn only option.

Visitors to Big Bear Valley will be able to access three principal routes out of the Valley: the Interstate-10 or Interstate-210 via State Routes 18/330, Apple Valley/Lucerne Valley via State Route-18, and Redlands via State Route-38. In addition, motorists will be able to access every location throughout Bear Valley for accommodations.

The City of Big Bear Lake wishes Everyone

a Safe and Enjoyable Independence Day!
