at NEVADA State Line
Traffic Breaks in Both Directions
JOINT PORT OF ENTRY PROJECT (JPOE)
WHO: The California
Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 8, the California Highway Patrol
(CHP), and Edison
WHAT: Approximately three (3) traffic breaks will
take place in both directions of Interstate 15 (I-15) at the Nevada State Line.
Each traffic break will be for
approximately ten (10) minutes.
WHERE: I-15 north and southbound between Yates Well
Road and Nipton Road at the Nevada State Line.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 28 between 9:00 A.M. to 10:00
A.M.
WHY: Edison will install overhead power lines
across all lanes of I-15 for the new CHP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement
Facility (CVEF) as part of the JPOE project.
MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO PLAN AHEAD AND
AVOID DRIVING ON THIS PORTION OF I-15 BETWEEN 9:00 A.M. AND 10:00 A.M. ON
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28.
IF YOU BECOME DELAYED IN THE TRAFFIC
BREAKS, PLEASE HAVE PATIENCE AND FOLLOW ALL COMMANDS FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT AND
HIGHWAY WORKERS.
