Mountain Biker Injured on 2N10

 Sunday October 5th afternoon, California Highway Patrol Officer Garot, assigned to the Arrowhead CHP Area Office in Runnings Sprongs, responded to Bear Valley Community Hospital call to contact a male that had been involved in a collision on a mountain bike.

 Dennis James DerHovanisian, a 55 year old male from La Mirada, California was riding a 2013 Fuel EX8 mountain bike eastbound on Forest Service Road 2N10. DerHovanisian was negotiating a right curve on the road when he traveled off the north roadway edge of USFS Rd 2N10. As a result, his bicycle struck a tree stump and Mr DerHovanisian was fully ejected off of his bicycle.

 Consequently Mr. DerHovanisian collided with the tree stump and then came to rest in the roadway. Mr. DerHovanisian sustained major injuries as a result of this traffic collision. The cause of this collision is still under investigation. Officer C. Garot, ID 20115 is handling the investigation.
