Large quantity of Methamphetamine
Plus loaded 12-gauge Shotgun
Information regarding the whereabouts of 25-year-old James
Wilson, a resident of Big Bear City was received by Big Bear Sheriff’ Deputies Friday,
July 3, 2015. Wilson, a fugitive was wanted for violation of the terms and
conditions of his Post Release Community Supervision.
A No-bail Warrant for
Wilson’s arrest had been issued. H was reported to be in the forested area of
Saw Mill Canyon. Patrol Deputies and Deputies of the Multi Enforcement Team
conducted an area check and located Wilson and his vehicle in Saw Mill Canyon.
Deputies searched James Wilson and his vehicle, and found Wilson to be in
possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine, a loaded 12 gauge shotgun,
ammunition, metal knuckles, and paraphernalia and packaging consistent with the
sales of narcotics.
James Wilson was taken into custody without incident and
booked on the no bail warrant, as well as felony charges of being a felon in
possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed,
being under the influence while armed, and possession of a controlled substance
for sale.
Wilson remains in custody, without the possibility of bail,
pending an arraignment hearing scheduled for Tuesday July 7, 2015 in San
Bernardino County Superior Court. The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station thanks the
public for their assistance in providing information that directly led to the
arrest of James Wilson.
