For Kidnapping His Children
Tuesday August 22nd, Hesperia Sheriff Deputies responded to a call for service where a subject was reported for brandishing a weapon. After investigation, Phillip Williamson was identified as a suspect who drove to Timberlane Park in Hesperia where the victim and their two children were.
Williamson reportedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim, saying he was going to take his children, then put the children in his vehicle and fled the location.
An area check was conducted in the 19000 block of Yucca Street where the victims and Williamson reside. Williamson’s vehicle was located there. Sheriff Deputies attempted to make contact with Williamson, but he would not comply and refused to come out of his residence.
Due to the report of a weapon and children being involved, San Bernardino County Specialized Enforcement Division was requested to assist. After negotiations, Williamson was talked out of the residence and taken into custody without incident. The children were located inside the residence, uninjured and were returned to the victim. Williamson was booked for PC 207(b), PC 245(a)(2) and PC 422 at the High Desert Detention Center, and is currently in custody.
