Of Motorcyclist Near Running Springs

 

Saturday November 5th, near Running Springs, California, at approximately 7:20 A.M. California Highway Patrol officers from the Arrowhead Area (Running Springs Headquarters) responded to the scene of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle, on US Forest Service Road-3N34, west of USFS Road-3N16Q. 

Joseph Zink, a 44 year old resident of Hemet, California, was riding a black, 2006, Suzuki motorcycle westbound USFS Road-3N34. Uncertain of the time of day, Zink was riding a motorcycle at an unknown rate of speed. Zink allowed the motorcycle to drift off to the right and off the dirt roadway. In doing so, the motorcycle collided with a tree and Zink was ejected from the motorcycle. 

The deceased body of Zink, was discovered Sunday November 06, 2016, at approximately 7:00 A.M., by hunters. It appeared that Zink had sustained fatal injuries, as a result of the traffic collision. 

The cause of the collision is under investigation with CHP Officer C. Bates, ID 18392.
