to Lucerne Valley Address

ENTRY
Tuesday,
June 25, 2019, at approximately 12:28 A.M., San Bernardino County /Victor
Valley Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence in the 35000 block of Harvest
Moon Street in Lucerne Valley following the report of a shooting.
Upon
arrival, the Deputies located the suspect, later identified as Shea Manigult,
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies and emergency medical
personnel attempted life-saving measures; however, the suspect was pronounced
deceased at the location.
The victim advised Sheriff Deputies
that she was asleep in her home when she was woken up by her dog barking.
The victim entered a bedroom and found the suspect hiding. The victim
became frightened and yelled at the suspect that he did not belong in her home,
then returned to the living room and armed herself with a gun. The
suspect approached the victim and fearing for her safety, she fired once at the
suspect striking him.
Detectives
from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, responded to the
scene to conduct the investigation. Through investigation, detectives
determined that the suspect had forced entry into the home prior to the victim
locating him in the bedroom.
