Early Monday Morning House Fire

July 19th Monday morning at approximately 1:42 A.M., Monday, the Big Bear Fire Crew responded to a structure fire in the 42000 Block of Timberline Trail in Big Bear Lake.  Upon their arrival, the Fire Crews found the garage and single-story home were well-involved with active flames visible.

The Fire Fighters were unable to make entry into the house due to the intensity of the fire. Therefore, an exterior attack was taken and the fire was suppressed within a short period of time. Once the flames were knocked down, crews were able to make an interior search. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The fire was first observed and reported by San Bernardino County Sheriff subsequently evacuated neighboring homes for their own safety. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Big Bear Fire Department and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Bomb and Arson Team.
