Single Vehicle Accident Causes Fatality

According to the California
Highway Patrol, Monday October 26, at approximately
4:02 P.M. a fatal traffic collision occurred on Kuffel Canyon Road,
west of Ivy Lane. At the time of this
collision, the weather was warm and clear.
Robert (Bobby) Carroll, an 85 year-old male of Lake Arrowhead,
California was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer.
Carroll was backing up his vehicle down the
driver located at 858 Kuffel Canyon Road when, for an unknown reason, he
allowed his vehicle to leave the north side of the driveway. The vehicle traveled backwards, over the side
and onto the lower driveway where it overturned.
The Ford Explorer landed on its wheels on Ivy
Lane, facing north, but the vehicle continued down Ivy Lane and collided with a
fallen tree. Carroll was transported to
Mountains Community Hospital, in full cardiac arrest and was pronounced
diseased at the hospital.
