Cucamonga Police responded to the report of mail theft in Rancho Cucamonga, near
the area of Redbud Place and Firethorn Street. Deputies searched the area and
located the vehicle described by the reporting party. Deputies contacted Lisa
Haring and John Morgan inside the vehicle and detained both while they
conducted their investigation. A search of their vehicle revealed stolen mail
from several residents in the area, drug paraphernalia, tools to enter locked
mailboxes and additional evidence linking Haring and Morgan to mail and
identity theft. Haring additionally had two warrants for her arrest, one of
which was for identity theft.
Haring and Morgan were arrested for identity theft, and possession of stolen
mail and booked into the West Valley Detention Center. Haring's bail was set at
$120,000, and Morgan's was set at $25,000.
Deputies notified and returned all stolen mail to the victims.
