Candidate for 

BVCHD Board of Directors  

 

The BVCHD Board of Directors will meet Wednesday January 14th (Open Session at 3:00 P.M. in the Hospital conference Room) to review the three candidates who have applied for the open seat on the board, that was vacated in October 2014. It is the intention of the BVCHD Board to select the fifth board member. 

Rob Robbins is a candidate vying for the four-year seat on the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District board of Directors.  The board vacancy was that of the president who resigned in October.

Sixty-one year old Rob Robbins is a homeowner in Big Bear City. He has two children and grandfather to two children.    

Robbins holds a M.B.A. from University of Southern California in marketing and finance and a B.A. from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California in psychology. 

Robbins began his professional life in advertising with Bank of America and Pizza Hut as clients and eventually went into commercial real estate, where he brokered and developed commercial buildings both industrial, retail, and office complexes.  Robbins managed several commercial brokerage firms. He was the Senior Vice President for two different financial services companies and developed them into nationwide organizations.   

Rob Robbins was the managing co-coordinator of the phone bank for ‘getting out the votes for Measure F’ last Spring of which Robbins was accredited for the 'Yes' success.  In the Big Bear Valley, he has worked as a volunteer with C.A.T.S, the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District Foundation, Starlight Festival, and Old Miners Days. Robbins is a huge fan of U.S.C. football, travel, history and art museums.
