As a result of the late afternoon collision, Patrick suffered serious injuries that included, major injuries to his arms (severed) and his rib cage, as well as hemorrhagic shock. 72 year-old, Kenneth G. Patrick was transported to Loma Linda Medical University Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead, at approximately 10:00 P.M., Saturday evening.
