Rock Fall Barrier Installation Begins
EXPECT Delays near Runnings Springs

California ____ July 17, 2019
The
California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has begun a Rock Fall Barrier
Installation Project on State Route 330 (SR-330) near Running Springs.
The
$5 Million contract was awarded to Spectrum Construction Group, Inc. located in
Irvine, California. The project crew will remove rock debris from the slope,
excavate and reduce slope size and install two rock-fall barriers at Mile-markers
#37 and #39.
Tuesday,
July 17th, drainage installation began near MMs #37 and #39 behind the
k-rail. Please expect delays during construction hours.
Beginning Monday, September
9, 2019,
a full closure will be in effect until Monday, September 23, 2019. During this
closure, crews will perform rock scaling, slope excavations and construct the
two rock-fall barriers
