Judy’s   JUDY Collins .....

* I've been a volunteer at the Philadelphia Folk Festival for over 30 years and had the pleasure of seeing Judy Collins there a few years back. Her show enthralled the big crowd on the hillside that evening and covered the full breadth of her storied career. A class-act of pulling the crowd into the worlds within the songs she sings.    Brad Riesau, song writer, singer with Silver Moon.

*In 1966, I bribed Judy’s banjo player by offering him a ride along Sunset Boulevard, in my new Corvette, if he would take me upstairs to her dressing room at the Troubadour in West Hollywood and allow me to get her autograph on an album I just happened to have in my car…. I did, he did, she did….lovely and gracious lady…. Great singe and guitarist….To this day, I still have a Martin D-18, just like the one Judy played.     Hank Kalvin, bass guitarist with Silver Moon.

* Send in the Clowns is in my Top 5 Best songs of Judy Collins. She has been a main-stay for decades….gives meaning to the phrase, ‘Music picks you, you don’t pick it!’ I love her and the fact that Judy’s still performing. What a babe!    Steve Johnson ‘Blue Eyes’(Big Bear Lake), formally Catz in the Hatz

* Twenty years ago, I met Judy Collins at a concert in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. The delightful music was well received by all ages and seemed to appeal to everyone.

Art Harriman, Big Bear Valley’s Troubadour, Summers in New England and Winters in Southern California.
