Recognized by Assemblyman
Exquadrum,
Incorporation, was recognized as the 2016 Business of the Year for the 33rd
Assembly District. Owners Kevin Mahaffy and Eric Schmidt were honored at a
ceremony in Sacramento during the California Small Business Association’s
annual event on Wednesday May 25th.
“Kevin
and Eric exemplify what it means to give back to their local communities,”
stated Assemblyman Obernolte. “Not only are they entrepreneurs that have
created jobs in the High Desert, but they work with our school children to
encourage them to be future engineers and innovators, both extremely important
to help fuel our economy. I want to congratulate them on their successful
business and their many achievements.”
Mahaffy
and Schmidt, both native of the High Desert, founded Exquadrum, Inc in 2002,
which is a research and development engineering corporation that specializes in
innovating and developing state-of-the-art solutions in rocket propulsion,
defense against weapons of mass destruction, advanced manufacturing, and
alternative energy. Exquadrum Inc. is focused on innovation with an eye towards protecting our country and is
currently the prime contractor developing a high-performance rocket engine for
NASA’s return to manned space operations.
In
addition to their business endeavors, Exquadrum, Inc. partners with local schools to promote
STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and sponsor
programs that inspire our school kids to become engineers and scientists.
