Fire Fighters Conquer In Minutes...  

 

# 2 Reported FIRE at Bloomington High School   

Early Friday (May 13th) just before 3:00 A.M., Bloomington and Fontana San Bernardino County Firefighters were dispatched to a reported rubbish fire.

 Shortly thereafter, it was reported that at Bloomington High School a portable classroom was on fire. The call then was balance to a Commercial Structure Fire, bringing more units to assist.

Fire Attack Units arrived within seven minutes finding one portable classroom with heavy smoke showing, and another portable classroom immediately threatened. With an aggressive attack the Classrooms Fire was knocked down in 13 minutes, limiting damage to one classroom. No injuries were reported to the public, or firefighters.

San Bernardino County Fire Investigators and San Bernardino County Sheriff Arson/Bomb were summoned to the scene to determine cause and origin of the fire.

Earlier in the morning at 1:23 A.M. San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to a report of trees on fire at Bloomington HS on a different portion of the campus.

SBCoFD Investigators are looking into if these two fires are related. SBCoFD is working with Colton Unified School District to gather information, and determine damage estimations.

Fire fighting apparatus responded with:  4 Medic Engines, 1 Truck Company, 1 Paramedic Squad, and 2 Battalion Chiefs responded to the incident. 

At BLOOMINGTON HIGH SCHOOL

Rialto Fire Department also responded with one Engine to assist.
