Thursday morning rock fall on State Route 18 in the Arctic Circle.

Mountain travelers still cautioned to be vigilant of possible rock falls.

 

 

San Bernardino, California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has reopened State Route18 (SR 18) between Snow Valley Ski Resort and Big Bear Dam in the San Bernardino Mountains after rock fall closed the route shortly before noon today.

Motorists are advised to continue to be vigilant and keep watch for falling rock as they travel on mountain routes.

Bring chains to mountain areas in the event that the weather changes and chain control is activated.
