Bear Fire Units Respond

Big Bear Fire Department units responded to a
report at 7:33 P.M., of residential structure fire in the 200 block of
Riverside Avenue in the Sugarloaf community. Upon arrival the Fire Fighters
found a two-story residence with active smoke and flames coming from the rear of
the structure.
BFA personnel performed an
aggressive fire attack with additional 12 firefighters from BFA and CAL-Fire to extinguish the blaze.
The
Fire Crews were able to obtain a fire knockdown within approximately 40 minutes
with fire damage to the primary residence only.
Fire
personnel committed to the incident for three hours for overhaul as well as, to
perform an extensive fire investigation.
