CLOSURE of All LAUSD Schools

As
most of you have likely heard, all schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District are closed today due to the
receipt of a credible threat of violence.
We want to assure you we are following ongoing reports on this situation and
will keep you informed of any circumstance that may affect any of you or our
students in the Big Bear Valley.
Additionally,
San Bernardino Valley College remains closed today due to the receipt of
a credible threat on Monday.
We,
(the Bear Valley Unified School District)
are in contact with the San Bernardino
County Superintendent of Schools Office and we will keep you apprised of
any information pertinent to all of us in Big Bear Valley.
The
San Bernardino County Superintendent of
Schools reports “in San Bernardino County, no K- 12
school districts have reported being closed this morning.”
We
are also in contact with Big Bear Deputy Sheriff Tiffany Swantek, who offered
the following information: “As far as in Big Bear Valley, basically, at this
time, we have had no indication or any reports of any threats to the Big Bear
Valley.”
The
San Bernardino County - Big Bear Sheriff
continues to ask people to remain diligent and watchful for any suspicious
activity and to report any such suspicious activity right away.
As
previously stated, we will immediately inform you of any new information which
directly affects the Big Bear Valley.
