|
|
Current Situation:
|
Fire size and
containment remain the same as previously reported. Current fire activity is
minimal and little or no fire growth is projected. Tactics will remain the
same as crews continue suppression repair activities. Contingency lines have
been combined with existing fuels reduction projects to provide added
security for communities. Aircraft will be utilized to accomplish full
suppression in areas that are inaccessible.
|
The Valley Fire is located in an area of extremely steep and rugged
terrain prone to landslides. Fire has increased the risk of slides by
removing vegetation from the slopes. Precipitation events could cause
additional slides, flooding, and subsequent road closures. Road users are
urged to be cautious and patient.
|
|

|
· Highway 38 is open to all traffic.
· Please use caution and drive slowly while in the
vicinity. Fire personnel and equipment will still be present and working
along the roads. "Be Cautious"

San Gorgonio Wilderness managed by USDA Forest Service are closed to
entry. This includes the Momyer Trail, Vivian Creek Trail, San
Bernardino Peak Trail, Forsee Creek Trail, South Fork Trail, and Aspen Grove
