Liberman is her fifth studio album, and it's turning heads." - Rolling Stone

"...she's back, she's dreamy, there's some sort of arty thing going on here, she's moved to Nashville, had a baby girl with

Deer Tick's John McCauley, and simply sounds better than ever." - Yahoo!

"Her fifth full-length is full of gorgeously melancholic ballads and reverb-soaked vocals." -Entertainment Weekly

"Forget the Vanessa Carlton you used to know." – NYLON

Vanessa Carlton is starring Friday night January 22nd at The CAVE in Big Bear Lake, California. Most recognized as an outstanding singer-songwriter, Vanessa Carlton will be performing selections from her recently released album, Liberman.

Liberman reflects Vanessa’s current state of mind since moving from New York City to Nashville, marrying husband John McCauley (Deer Tick) and having a baby girl.  The simple instrumentation mixed with her wistful vocals and poignant lyrics bring you into her world and showcase a new side to this accomplished songwriter.

November 2015, Vanessa unveiled her latest video for the song "House of Seven Swords" which gives the viewer an intimate look into Vanessa's life as a new mother at her new home in Nashville, Tennessee directed by Daniel Henry (Jack White, Kurt Vile). The track is off her widely acclaimed, new studio album Liberman (standard, deluxe) which is currently out in North America via Dine Alone Records and WSJ Speakeasy premiered the new video.

Vanessa comments, "It was Daniel's idea to film me playing in the house and capturing everyday moments.  Coincidentally my Rhodes is in the baby's room so none of it was staged. Though the premise of this song was inspired by a tarot card and my brother graduating from college and moving to New York to carve out a life for himself, I think Daniel saw this song reflecting the home that my husband and I have created for ourselves and for our daughter. Even if you write a song for someone else, it is still going to reveal something about the writer. I guess I forgot about that."

Vanessa has just announced her 2016 U.S. tour will include Big Bear Lake, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas, Houston and more.
