Big Bear Lake, CA, August 22, 2019 ____ Early Thursday morning the Big Bear Fire Crews and Cal
Fire Crews responded to a report of a traffic collision resulting in a vegetation
fire northeast of Big Bear City. Big
Bear Fire Fighters arrived at 6:52 A.M. car rollover accident of a single vehicle on fire that spread to nearby vegetation, at
State Route 18 and Holcomb Valley Road.
Big
Bear Fire Interim Battalion Chief Luke Wagner assumed command of the incident
while support from Engine 282, Water Tender 282, Medic Ambulance 282 with
Paramedics took immediate action in fighting further spread of the fire.
Cal Fire Engine 3558 were responsible for
achieving fire knock-down within approximately ten minutes. Two passengers in
the vehicle suffered minor injuries. There were no injuries to Fire Fighters..
