Arctic Circle - State Route 18 is OPEN !!

Kasinga, California Department of Transportation District 8, announced Wednesday, that the Winter preparation
maintenance work on State Route 18 (SR- 18) in the San Bernardino Mountains, will be completed one week ahead of
schedule. The Road Maintenance work started
the day-time full closures on SR-18, the Arctic
Circle area, beginning Monday October 2nd, now to be completed Thursday
October 19th at 4:00 P.M., 2017.
Caltrans Crews have spent the last
three weeks performing routine maintenance operations in preparation for the Winter
months, including repairing guardrail, cleaning drains, replacing and repairing
damaged signs, slope scaling, turnout clearance, and other related work.
