BIG BEAR STRUCTURE FIRE (HOLCOMB VALLEY - NEAR THE DUMP) 200+ ACRES - SIGNIFICANT AIR AND GROUND RESOURCES ON SCENE OR ENROUTE

BIG BEAR FIRE DEPARTMENT reported Monday June 19, 2017,  4:45 p.m. 





The Holcomb Fire is at 200 acres and growing, moving through Holcomb Valley towards the desert. Holcomb Valley is under voluntary evacuation. It is a rapidly spreading fire but threat to Big Bear Valley is moderate.

Big Bear Fire Dept. Cal Fire, BLM, County Fire and the Forest Service are responding. There are currently 7 air tankers, 5 helicopters, and 1 dozer, plus multiple engines. Big Bear Fire Dept. Cal Fire, BLM, County Fire and the Forest Service are responding. Incident Command has moved to Big Bear Fire Dept. Station 284 in Baldwin Lake.
