A 5-month-old BABY GIRL is in the safety of care-giving authorities at Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) where the infant female was examined and found to have three fractured ribs, all in the healing stages on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. 

Forensic Pediatricians determined the victim's injuries were consistent with suspected child abuse.  San Bernardino County Sheriff Decetives of the Sheriff's Crimes Against Children Detail were summoned to conduct an investigation.







San Bernardino County Sheriff Investigators determined the victim resided with 39 year-old, Michael Jerome Ervin, a resident of Rancho Cucamonga. 



Following an extensive investigation and collaboration with Forensic Pediatricians from LLUMC, Michael Jerome Ervin was arrested Thursday, July 12, 2018 and booked at Central Detention Center for Willful Cruelty to a Child including Ervin’s bail was set at $100,000.
