Docent/Volunteer Classes
by the Friends
of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo

Thoughout the year Big Bear Alpine Zoo's events Docents enjoy their work of serving the public.
The
Big Bear Alpine
Zoo is seeking professionally minded volunteers with a strong
work ethic, who are responsible, dedicated and can commit to a project.
This
Volunteer
Program is for people that enjoy learning about wildlife and the
environment, and like working with people that feel the same.
Some
of the opportunities for a docent/volunteer would be:
* Tours – Conduct or help
with tours of the Zoo for schools, churches, camp groups, as well as visitors
from around the world.
* Zoo Roamer- Mingle with zoo guests, educating them
on the animals. A Zoo Roamer also helps to enforce the rules of the zoo; this
protects the resident animals and the public. Educating the public that we are
different, we are a rehab facility.
