Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh 23rd District, “With the recent storms hitting our region, I want to provide you with locations to find important information for the Big Bear Valley communities.  My office has been communicating with local agencies working to clear the roadways.  Please monitor the social media pages and websites provided below for road conditions, as they may change to allow for public use.  My office has been hearing concerns from your community.

Assemblyman Tom Lackey and I have asked Governor Newsom to declare a State of Emergency to provide additional resources to help local agencies respond to these needs. Certain thresholds must be met for the Governor to declare a State of Emergency. I have informed the Governor that the storms hitting the San Bernardino Mountains have created serious and pressing issues that need additional State assistance.”

In response to mountain-area road closures caused by this weather, the Red Cross has opened a shelter at Redlands East Valley High School (31000 E. Colton Ave, Redlands) for mountain residents unable to return home and seeking safe shelter.
