Riley Foust Arrested

Big Bear City Resident

                             Possession of Narcotics & Firearm  


Big Bear Sheriff Deputy B. Francis conducted a traffic stop, shortly after 11:20 A.M. Friday, October 22, 2021, for a California Vehicle Code violation, Big Bear City, near the intersection of Arastre Road and Baldwin Lake Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Riley Foust. A records-check confirmed Foust had multiple outstanding warrants and is a convicted felon.   

During a search incident to arrest, Foust was found to have methamphetamine on his person. Additional methamphetamine, fentanyl, and paraphernalia consistent with sales of narcotics, along with an un-serialized 9mm ghost gun and ammunition were located in Foust's vehicle. Foust was taken into custody without incident.  

Suspect Riley Foust was booked into the San Bernardino County Big Bear Jail on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance, and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.  

Suspect Riley Foust remains in custody at West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $50,000.00 bail. An arraignment hearing in this matter is set for October 26, 2021, in San Bernardino County Superior Court.
