UPDATE: Tuesday, April 30th at 5:00 P.M.
Search efforts at the Victorville landfill have been suspended for the
day. San Bernardino County Sheriff Homicide Detectives, 19 Department volunteers, 2 search dogs, and 17
additional Department personnel have been searching with the assistance of
landfill personnel.
The area being searched
is approximately 70 feet x 70 feet x 10 feet in depth, approximately 1200 tons
of material. The search for Duke Flores will resume in the morning,
Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.

April 30th, 8:00 A.M.
The search has resumed at the Victorville landfill for the body of Duke Flores.
Homicide detectives, 19 Sheriff’s Department volunteers, 2 search dogs, 15
additional San Bernardino County Sheriff employees, and landfill personnel will
continue to sift through material in hopes of finding him.

April 29th, 5:00 P.M.
Search efforts at the Victorville landfill have been suspended for the
day. Homicide Detectives, 36 Sheriff’s Department volunteers, 3 canines,
and 17 additional Sheriff’s Department personnel have been searching with the
assistance of landfill personnel. The area being search is approximately
70 feet x 70 feet x 10 feet in depth, approximately 600 tons of material.
The search for Duke Flores will resume in the morning, Tuesday, April 30th.
UPDATE: Monday, April 29th, 7:15 A.M.
Homicide Detectives, Sheriff’s department volunteers, and landfill personnel
are actively searching the landfill in Victorville for the body of Duke
Flores. Following investigative leads, detectives believe that Duke was
placed in a dumpster. Detectives are now working with personnel at the
landfill in hopes of recovering his body.
The investigation is ongoing, additional information will be released as it
becomes available.
