CA Friday, July 2, 2020__ Big Bear Lake, CA__
San Bernardino County Sheriff (SBCS) Investigators Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC), began an investigation
into cyber tips that were reported by an Electronic Service Provider (ESP). The
cyber tips contained various images of child pornography. Through
investigation, investigators determined the child pornography was downloaded,
distributed and manufactured at a Big Bear Lake, California residence.
Thursday, July 2, 2020, CAC Investigators and SBCS Big
Bear Station Deputies, served a search warrant at a residence in the 41000
block of Switzerland Drive, in Big Bear Lake where CAC Investigators did
contact James Von Eps. Von Eps was arrested for possession of child pornography, distribution of
child pornography and manufacturing of child pornography and subsequently
booked into Central Detention Center and bail was set at $100,000.
