P.M.: INVESTIGATION COMPLETE
The investigation of a reported firearm on the premises at Big
Bear High School is now complete. SBC Sheriff Deputies
have determined the matter to be unfounded and have confirmed that no student
took a gun to the school today.
The lock down by Bear Valley Unified School District, which was
taken out of an abundance of caution, has now been lifted.

PRECAUTIONARY LOCK DOWN AT
BIG BEAR HIGH SCHOOL:
Friday October 29, 2021, 10:45 A.M., San
Bernardino County Sheriff Probation Officers and Big Bear Sheriff Deputies responded
to an unverified report of a firearm on the premises at Big Bear High School.
The report prompted a telephonic notification by Bear Valley Unified School
District of a precautionary lock-down and threat at the High School campus, located
in Sugarloaf.
Immediately, a thorough investigation into the
matter was executed. The investigators determined at this time, there is no
immediate danger to Big Bear High School students or staff.
The public is urged to stay away from the campus
as law enforcement officials continue their investigation. Additional
information will be reported as it becomes available.
