Don’t Drop the Ball on Safety This Super Bowl Sunday
San Bernardino County
encourages you and your family and friends to be safe this Super Bowl Sunday as
the Los Angeles Rams play against the Cincinnati Bengals right in our own back
yard.
The good news is our
COVID-19 numbers are on a downward trend following the post-holiday surge of
cases.
The COVID-19 positivity
rate in San Bernardino County hit a high of 32 percent on Jan. 10 and was at
18.5 percent at the end of this week. The State of California also is lifting a
mask mandate effective Wednesday, Feb. 16 in indoor public spaces for individuals
who are fully vaccinated. Masks are still required for unvaccinated residents
indoors and for everyone in hospitals, nursing homes and public transit.
“Let’s keep our numbers
trending down by continuing to take precautions this weekend while still
enjoying the game,” said San Bernardino County Department of Public Health
Director Josh Dugas. “Consider taking a COVID-19 test before gathering and get
vaccinated and boosted, when eligible.”
