State of Emergency
Blue Cut Fire Information
Tuesday August 16, the Blue Cut Fire started near Interstate 15 in the Cajon
Pass, causing mandatory evacuations and major travel challenges across our
region.
As the situation develops, the most up-to-date information on road closures,
shelters, school closures, and other resources is available on the Incident
Information System (InciWeb) at inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/4962.
Anyone seeking more information may call the Fire Information Hotline at 909-383-5688, which
includes a regularly updated recording on the status of the fire (please be
aware that you will only likely get a recording if you call this number).
Senator Morrell’s office is monitoring the situation closely. A State of
Emergency has been declared, which will make state resources available in the
response efforts.
“I’m grateful to those working to contain the fire. To all who are impacted,
please stay safe.” comments Senator Mike Morrell
