SHERIFF Asks
for Public’s Help
Sunday September 20th the California
Highway Patrol located Carlos Alexander Baltazar’s vehicle at State Route-18
and Delta Avenue (northeast of Big Bear City).
Thursday September 24th, Carlos
Alexander Baltazar was reported missing by his family.
San Bernardino County Sheriff Aviation Crew of 40-King
Helicopter was deployed; as well as, the SBCSD K-9 and a Ground Search Team.
Baltazar’s backpack was found 75 yards from where
his vehicle was located. K-9’s continued to track his' scent, but to their
dismay the scent was eventually lost. The Search & Rescue Team continues the
search with deputies and bloodhounds.

Carlos Alexander Baltazar
Baltazar is a member of the United States Forest
Service Interagency Hotshot Crew and was off duty at the time and not in the
area of the El Dorado Fire.
Carlos Alexander Baltazar’s description: 35 years old, Hispanic Male, Bald, Brown Eyes, Weighs 175 lbs and
Brown Eyes.
