BIG BEAR LAKE,
CA – A community memorial service for City Clerk, Cheri (Haggerty) Lawrence and
her baby Declan, will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at the
Performing Arts Center in Hofert Hall, located at 39707 Big Bear Boulevard in Big
Bear Lake, California. Mother and baby son passed Tuesday evening, November 25th.

In the
bulletin released Wednesday December 3rd by the City of Big Bear
Lake, it was noted that support for the family has been pouring in from the Big
Bear Valley community, colleagues, and friends throughout the State of
California; as so many mourn the sudden and tragic loss to the Lawrence
Family.
Our heartfelt
sympathies go to Cheri’s husband, Director of Public Works/ City Engineer David
Lawrence; children Aidan and Kaelee; her parents, Bob and Peggy Frost, and her
many loved ones. Cheri will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mayor
Jay Obernolte reflected about the City Clerk of Big Bear Lake, “I am deeply shocked and
saddened by Cheri's sudden passing. Cheri was a friend to everyone she met, and
the City Council and our entire City staff, are grieving. Our thoughts and
prayers are with David and the children in this terrible time.
In lieu of
flowers the family asks that donations be made in Cheri’s name to The Mom &
Dad Project located on the campus of Bear Valley Community Hospital on Garstin
