Big Bear Lake Polar
Plunge Saturday March 7th
“I am taking the Polar Plunge to support Special Olympics
Inland Empire”, determines City of
Big Bear Lake Mayor David Caretto.
During the Polar Plunge, brave souls will run into the frigid
waters of Big Bear Lake, to raise funds for Special Olympics athletes. It
is particularly significant this year, as the Special Olympics team of athletes,
are coming to Southern California this summer. The WORLD GAMES will be the
biggest sporting event in the world this year, and Big Bear Lake is one of the
host cities for athletes competing in the games.
You're probably getting cold just thinking about it! While
the cold is temporary, the positive impact you will have on the lives of
Special Olympics athletes will last a lifetime. Your donation will enrich
the lives of thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities and their
communities through sports, education, and athlete health.
I will be joining my fellow Rotarians--Dave Stone, Richard
Miller and Mike Curran on The Cave/First Mountain Bank Team. Many other
individuals and teams will be taking the Plunge to help Special Olympics.
The Big Bear Polar Plunge is the largest activity of this kind in the
Southland. Help us make it great!!
Please help me
reach our fundraising goal. For donating to the Big Bear Lake Polar Plunge visit: www.sosc.org/bigbearplunge. Also, donations
