Thursday, March 26, 2020____ After 5:00 P.M. Wednesday evening, Big Bear Lake NewsRoom received an advisory (press release) from David Wert Public Information Officer, County of San Bernardino, California. The notice was sent to many journalists and news organizations in regards to the reporting of novel coronavirus/COVID-19.

Effective Thursday 26, 2020, San Bernardino County will not likely issue news releases each time there is a new case or cases of reported within the county. Instead, the number of cases will be updated on the county’s coronavirus website,

http://wp.sbcounty.gov/dph/coronavirus/ , once per day at approximately 5:00 P.M.

Why 5 P.M. ? Cumulative test results are received by County Public Health at approximately 4:30 P.M.
