In Memory
of Nick Thalasinos Healing Grove
Sunday March 26, the
Incredible Community Garden will commemorate and plant a Healing Grove Memorial
honoring the Life of Nick Thalasinos. Thalasinos was one of thirteen co-workers
and friends who lost their lives in the December 2, 2015 terrorist attack that occurred
at a San Bernardino County location.
A Nick Thalasinos
Healing Grove Memorial planting will take place March 26, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. The
Memorial Park is located at the intersection of Mt. Vernon Avenue and
"M" Street in Colton, California.
The public is invited
to attend and join Nick Thalasinos’s Family and Survivors in the Sunday morning
planting ceremony.
The Healing Grove
Memorial planting is part of a series of Incredible Community Garden
(IECG) plantings in memory of the victims and survivors of the December 2, 2015
terrorist attack.
The park property is
approximately 72,000 square feet; of which IECG will dedicate 40,000 square
feet to the Memorial Garden.
"This
planting is about bringing the community together in memory of Nick and those
we lost. We invite all to come together for peace and healing," Mary
Petit said, Co-Executive Director of IECG.
"The Nick
Thalasinos Healing Grove Memorial will honor Nick's life and
memory," Eleanor Torres said, Co-Executive Director
of IECG. "For many, this memorial and others like it will help
cope with the pain and shock that our community has gone through."
Join IECG and
Mr. Thalasino’s family for this special event as we plant trees as a living
memorial to Nick Thalasinos.
Bring your gloves,
your shovel, and your heart.
