The 2015 Eagles of Excellence Award goes to…

Simeon and Dana PROPHET  grew up in the San Gabriel Valley.  They met in Junior high school and were casual acquaintances through high school with many mutual friends.  They reconnected later in life at one of their high school reunions and have been together ever since.  The timing was perfect; in that they each were divorced and had already raised their children.  Dana has two daughters, Beth Whaley of Temecula and Kelly Dietz of Tahoe City, both of whom graduated from Big Bear High.  Simeon has two daughters, Lisa and Gina, and one son, Steven, all from Southern California.

While Dana was a previous resident of Big Bear Valley, beginning in the early 1970’s, the Prophets history with the community, dates back over twenty-five years when Dana invited Simeon to go Snow Skiing and introduce him to the mountain-life.  Dana and Simeon moved to Big Bear Lake as full-time residents in the 1990’s.  Simeon continued a successful career in the clothing industry, manufacturing coats and jackets throughout Southern California.  Dana began immersing herself in the real estate business of the Valley, where she quickly became a successful top producing real estate agent.  Simeon soon joined Dana in the real estate business, when his lifelong family business of manufacturing was no longer a viable option in this country; everything went off-shore so Simeon closed down his operations here in the United States.

After investing in a couple of different local businesses, Simeon decided to commit himself to the new family business of real estate.  Now, after fifteen years, the Prophets enjoy working together as a team ,in the valley’s real estate world, They are the proud owners of the Re/Max franchise here in Big Bear Valley, with three offices one recently acquired the Coldwell Banker building, across the Big Bear Boulevard from CVS Pharmacy.  Re/Max has more than fifty realtors working under the Prophets leadership.

Today, Simeon, a long-time Rotarian and Dana, who has been a frequent volunteer with various community groups, are huge supporters of numerous local charities and causes through-out the Big Bear Valley.  They are also avid hikers, golfers and skiers; so they have first-hand experience in truly enjoying the outdoor activities that Big Bear Valley has to offer.

The Prophets’ true joy is in giving back and assisting others in achieving their goals and dreams.
